Jai Ho Narendra Bhai Modi ji

The Mahabharat style General Elections of 2014 are thing of past. The one person who comes out of thisMahabharat Election as sole winner is Mr. Narendra Modi. The Samskrit Phrase “स्वयमेव म्रगेन्द्रिता” (Natural King of the Forest) holds absolutely true to him and his personality.

Mr. Modi has run his herculean election campaign in such an effective and powerful manner and taken such a high road that nothing could distract him from his goal. He has completely changed the game and rules of the game, for the opponents and left them किंकर्तव्य बिमूढ़ (scrambling and clueless for next steps). He has led from the front and travelled enormous distance across our great Nation, a distance dwarfing the distance of Moon from Earth and has connected extremely well with the nationals of the entire Nation and has created his appeal in entire Nation.To describe him, I have translated an old and famous Urdu Sher in Hindi to make it easier-

स्वयं को कर सबल इतना कि हर सौभाग्य से पहले , प्रभु मानव से यह पूछे बता तेरी सलाह क्या है

He has also changed his messaging and techniques as the elections have progressed from phase 1 to phase2, leading to final phase 9, saving his best for the last. He drew flake from media and all for not giving any interviews early on, so much so that media started saying that he could give only speech and not interview and that he was an unknown personality. But then, in the end, he hadgiven a number of interviews showcasing various aspects of his personality, his thought process, and his plan/approach to handle development/challenges. That I believe has worked really well for him and BJP. We all know the value of “save the best for last” but Modi ji has demonstrated a practical example of the same.

There is no abuse left in the Hindi dictionary which is not used against Mr. Modi from many leaders of many opponent parties, starting from Abdulla&Abdullah , Khurshid, Azamkhan, Benny, Sonia, Rahul , Ajit, and Mulayam from north, Sharad Pawar and Sanjay Nirupam from west, Siddaramaiya from south, and, Lalu, Mamata  and Derek O’Brian from east. It is an irony that most of these folks who have used such un-parliamentary language are all parliamentarians, at-least supposed to be. I would like to recall a doha from Sant Kabir’s poetry to describe them-

बुरा जो देखन मैं चला, बुरा न मिलिया कोय |
जो दिल खोजो आपनो, मुझसे बुरा न कोय ||

The Congress party, which has ruled the country for major period of the independent India, is now facing its imminent dissipation, probably for good. How can a political party live under the umbrella of one family forever. During past 10 years, the mother/son due have led the country in current state due to their back seat driving and not letting its Prime Minister do anything freely. One (or rather Two)  can make everybody fool sometime, can make some people fool all the time, but this duo has tried to make fool of everybody all the time. Today if one takes Sonia Madam, Rahul Baba and Priyanka Vadra out of Congress, is there a one person (and one means one) who can lead Congress? If such is the state of the Congress party, the thingwhich has happened for Congress was bound to happen anyway. Such is the ship of Congress that the good people and Technocrat like Mr Nilekani have also sunk with it. I find it difficult to digest how and why a successful, renowned and learned (and of course RICH) person like Mr Nilekani had fallen in the trap of Congress. I recall a saying by Sant Abdurrahim Khankhana ( Rahim) on side affects of bad company.

बसि कुसंग चाहत कुशल, रहिमन यह अफसोस ।
महिमा घटी समुद्र की , रावण बस्यो परोस ||

The AAP which has delivered huge promise in Delhi Election of 2013 has gone all over the place and had stretched themselves too thin. Had they hold on to Delhi government , delivered on some of the key promises and contested only 20-30Lok Sabha seats, they would have won 15-20 seats. The entire blame goes to its leader Arvind Kejriwal. He had converted AAP like Congress with he himself assuming the role of Sonia Gandhi and Manish Sisodia assuming the role of No. 2 Rahul Gandhi. How could a party aspiring to become successful in democracy without having internal democracy? This is a huge and probably irreparable setback for AAP and who knows may be for good.

The whole country has understood and realized how meaningless and irrelevant the two words, Communal and Secular, used by the majority of the political class, have become. The nation is shouting from the rooftop “ये क्या सेक्यूलर वेक्यूलर लगा रखा है” and “ये क्या कम्यूनल फम्यूनल लगा रखा है”. The nation is internalizing the phrases “एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत” and “सबका साथ सबका विकास” now.

On a different note, I hope that wisdom will prevail for many nations who had put a Visa ban on Mr. Modi and will move forward fast to unilaterally remove it. Mr. Modinow represents a nation of 1.3 billion people and is elected through a democratic process, which is probably larger than all other TRUE democracies of the world combined together.  How can some nation(s) be so selective in taking punitive actions against one individual whose crimes are not proven by the nation’s top court even after 12 years of rigorous judicial process? No one should be held guilty till proven by the court of the law. Why the same nation(s) have not taken action against many other individuals of many other nation(s) whose crimes against the minorities of their respective nation(s) are written on the walls? Also, the human right record of the many nation(s) who had put visa ban is also not impeccable. I recall a dialog of an old Hindi Movie by Raj Kumar against Rehman “साहनी सेठ, जिनके घर शीशे से बने होते हैं वो दूसरों पर पत्थर नहीं फेंकते”.

I wish Mr Narendra Bhai Modi Ji all the very best to take our deserving motherland in the forefront of the nations.  I hope he executes his development agenda and does so well that our countrymen become bound to say “अबकी बार मोदी सरकार” to “बार बार मोदी सरकार“.
